Q: Are there any requirements to enroll?
A: Yes. You must be at least 17 years old to register for our non-credit Spanish classes.

Q: How long and when is the program?
A: We offer Spanish in a variety of formats. We have a 7-day, full-immersion intensive Spanish Program that meets 6 hours per day for 7 consecutive days. In that program, you will be immersed in Spanish each day, with a total of more than 40 hours of instruction and practice during the 7 days. That dynamic immersion program starts every other month throughout the year. (see Spanish 7-Day Intensive FAQs)

Q: What other Spanish program formats do you have?
A: Customized Spanish is built around the client's availability and preference for scheduling. Our Spanish Boot Camps meet fo 5 consecutive days.

Q: I need to learn Spanish quickly. Do you have intensive schedules available?
A: Yes. We can design a customized program of instruction for you based on your availability and learning goals. (see FAQs for Customized Language Programs)

Q: Who should enroll in the Spanish classes? 
A: Our Spanish classes are for you if you want to improve your fluency in spoken Spanish. We focus on communication – oral fluency in speaking, listening comprehension, vocabulary development, and accuracy with Spanish grammar and structures. We also offer specialized Spanish courses in Business Spanish, Medical Spanish and Accent Reduction (Pronunciation).

Q: How many levels of Spanish do you have?
A: We have 4 levels of Spanish instruction. You can take our free, online Spanish placement test to find out what level class is best for you. When you submit your free, online placement test, one of our enrollment coaches will call you to speak with you about your Spanish level.

Q: Are any textbooks required?

A: Yes. You will receive communication from us letting you know the textbook information before your class begins. That way, you will have time to get the textbook and be ready for your first class.

Q: What kind of work and homework will I have to do?
A: You will have homework following each class. Work outside of class is vital to improving your language skills and making progress towards your goals.

Q: What skills will I improve in this program?

A: You will improve your speaking skills, your comprehension skills, your pronunciation, your vocabulary, and your accuracy with our focus on communication and grammar.

Q: Do I get a Certificate?  Are the classes graded? 
A: Yes, upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an official University of Miami Certificate.
